Our Malcolm X Academy Club is one of three Clubs in the Bayview Hunters Point community and is closely connected to our Willie Mays Clubhouse at Hunters Point. Members frequently access the gym, baseball field, and garden at the Willie Mays Clubhouse (just a few steps away). School-Based Clubs merge out-of-school time with the school day, allowing positive, caring adults from both the school and BGCSF to provide wrap-around support that is consistent and meets youth where they are.

Summer Update from BGCSF!At Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF), we believe all children and teens deserve access to opportunity. Throughout the year, we work intentionally to connect youth to experiences that might otherwise be out of reach. Summer, in particular, allows our Clubs to be open all day, giving us more time to offer enriching programs, field trips, and new experiences that spark curiosity and growth. These opportunities expand perceptions of what’s possible, boost confidence, and help kids dream bigger.
Summer is a Verb: A Season of Purposeful Action at Excelsior ClubhouseThis week marks the official start of summer—and here at Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco’s Excelsior Clubhouse, we can already feel the energy building. At Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF), summer is a verb. It’s about movement, momentum, and joyful, purposeful action. As a Clubhouse Director, I have the privilege of witnessing our members' summer firsthand.
Share the Magic of Camp Mendocino! From hiking under the redwoods to mastering our ropes course, from swimming in the Noyo River to mountain biking and archery lessons, every day at Camp Mendocino is packed with bold first steps and joyful moments that shape young people’s futures.
